The biggest month for events of the winter season is almost here…
Steamboat Springs is having a fantastic winter with over 190 inches of snow already this year! Everywhere you look there are fields of glistening, untouched snow just waiting to be explored. When you aren’t out making turns on the slopes, there are plenty of fun events going on that the entire family with enjoy.

Kehoe and Haller Cup
February 2nd
Always dreamed of being a ski racer? Now is your chance! This race event is open to the general public and features a giant slalom race, dual slalom, and team events. Whether you plan to try your hand at racing, or you just want to spectate, this is sure to be a fun filled event.
History of Skiing
February 6th
Join Professor Duane Vandenbusche for a rich history of skiing. Vandenbusche has been teaching the history of Western Colorado for over 50 years and is eager to share his passion and knowledge of skiing and Colorado history to Steamboat Springs.
Ski Free Sundays at Howelsen Hill
Every Sunday of the season
It isn’t often you can say you’ve skied on North America’s oldest operating ski area. Ski free Sunday is the perfect opportunity to get some turns on historic Howelsen Hill!
Torchlight Parade
February 14th
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, head to Gondola Square for a Torchlight Parade followed by fireworks. In the mood for staying in? The Porches has great views of the fireworks.
Moonlight Snowshoe Tour
February 19th
Join Yampatika for a moonlight snowshoe tour on Emerald Mountain and get the chance to explore the beautiful trails by the light of the full moon. Registration is required and this event is 18 and older.
WinterWonderGrass
February 22nd through the 24th
One of the most popular events to come to Steamboat is back for another year! Bringing together 25 bands and over 20 Colorado craft breweries this is one music festival you won’t want to miss.
