As the 2018/19 winter season draws to a close, we look back on the last few months
Another fantastic winter season is drawing to an end in Steamboat Springs, with over 300 inches of snow this year and over a 100-inch base we could not be more thrilled.
The season started off slowly with a 2.77% increase in dollar volume this past November over November 2017. December picked up slightly with a 6.48% increase in dollar volume over December 2017.
Overall 2018 saw $867,253,468 in total dollar volume and a 7.18% over 2017. The mountain area continues to surpass other areas in Steamboat and accounted for 40.77% of that dollar volume with 570 transactions in 2018.

Further off the I-70 corridor than many of Colorado’s world-famous ski resorts, Steamboat remains a true destination. Our small-town charm and unbeatable hospitality also make Steamboat a wonderful place to call home. In 2018, the number of days on the market was down compared to 2017 while average list prices were up. Despite this increase, Steamboat remains lower in both average list price and price per square foot than other resort towns such as Aspen, Telluride, and Vail.
