Originally from the Boston, I came to Steamboat on college break in 1985. Out with my friends one night we all decided to apply for jobs at the Ski Corporation as a joke. That winter I went out and bought my first pair of Sorel boots and started as a lift operator on the Arrowhead chairlift. Coming from the East Coast, used to skiing on ice, it wasn’t long before I realized I needed to learn to ski powder.
Long story short, I worked for the lift department that season and took a job waitressing that mud season to save enough money to go home….and then…..summer came- no way was I leaving then. No doubt a very classic Steamboat story, I came here for the winters and stayed for the summers! Married a cowboy, lived on a cow calf ranch and started my real estate career in 1998 with the American Skiing Company.

Born and raised in San Diego, my first experience of Steamboat was in 1978 during a road trip over Christmas break. After college, I returned to try out the “ski bum” life for a few years later returning to San Diego to start my real estate career in the Title Insurance business. While in San Diego I met my wife, Bernadette, and we had two children but Steamboat was always in the back of my mind. In 1994 we sold everything and with two young children in tow, took a leap of faith and moved to Steamboat to start living our dream life!
