July 3rd
Ski Jumping Extravaganza
Head to Howelsen Hill to watch some of the best ski jumping athletes rocket 225 feet in the air. Pack a picnic, grab the family, and lay out beneath the jumps for this spectacular event.
July 4th
Pancake Breakfast
A 4th of July favorite, join the Steamboat Lion’s Club for their annual pancake breakfast to fuel up before the days big events.
Fourth of July Parade
A long standing Steamboat tradition, crowds line Lincoln Ave, to see a parade of horses, gondola wagons, and more! Be sure to look out for the candy and Otter Pops thrown into the crowd.
Pioneer Day Block Party
Head to The Tread of Pioneers Museum for their annual Pioneer Day Block Party and listen to live music and sip on a Routt Beer Float.
Fourth of July Pro Rodeo
A Steamboat tradition for over 100 years the Steamboat Pro Rodeo is a crowd favorite! Get there early for some of the best BBQ in town before the show kicks off at 6:30pm.
The Porches 4th of July BBQ:
The biggest Barn party of the year, The Porches 4th of July BBQ is a party you don’t want to miss! Each year we have a fantastic feast provided by Steamboat Meat & Seafood followed by an ice cream sundae bar.
Hot Air Balloon Rodeo:
The 38th Annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo is a can’t miss summer event! And the best part, you can see everything right from your Porches home.
July 13th
For the early risers, head to Bald Eagle Lake starting at 6:00am to watch as hundreds of balloons inflate and launch into the air above the lake.
In the evening, head to Howelsen Hill as select balloons are illuminated around the base area. Walk around and experience these up close while listening to live music and grabbing a bite to eat or drink.
July 14th
If you missed Saturday morning’s activities, be sure to rise early to get to Bald Eagle Lake and watch the balloons take flight once again.
Kitchen and Garden Tour
July 13th
Spend the day exploring exquisite gardens and kitchens around Steamboat! This year, 8 homes will be on the tour from renovated historic homes to new builds. There is something for everyone. This tour also includes professional gardening and landscape talks, live music, chef demonstrations, and vintage vehicles along the route.
Art in the Park:
July 13th & 14th
A local favorite, head to West Lincoln Park, across from the Bud Werner Memorial Library for 150 artists, live music, food and drinks. An interactive children’s art area will keep the kids entertained for hours!
Tour de Steamboat:
July 20th
Over 1,000 cyclists come together for a scenic ride through beautiful Steamboat. All proceeds from this event go to a variety of non-profits in the Yampa Valley. There are 5 different bike routes for those that want to get involved in the fun! You can also stand along the side of the road and cheer bikers on as they go by.
